Founded in 2004 by Prof. Dr. Avelino Francisco Zorzo, CONSEG (Systems Reliability and Security
Group) is one of the main research and innovation fronts at the PUCRS Polytechnic School, standing
out in the training of undergraduate and graduate students through the advanced study of Blockchain,
Fault Tolerance, Cryptography, Security Protocols, and Digital Forensics.
The laboratory relies on a highly qualified faculty of doctoral professors and has its activities
funded by important governmental and private entities. These professionals and investments enable
the provision of scholarships (CAPES/MEC, CNPq, and partner companies) for students interested in
developing cutting-edge projects that shape the future of cybersecurity.
